The project intention was to replace the faulty 28” barrel door on the 24” TNP @ the Terminal incoming manifold. Since the work area is highly volatile, the use of Habitat was deployed to prevent spark that might lead to explosion. Pre-work activities were done before the commencement of the actual work. A 32” – 30” Concentric reducer was welded to the 30” barrel door (Golden weld). Also, a 30” – 24” concentric reducer was attached to the 32” – 30” reducer to enable pressure testing to be done. Pressure testing was carried out to the 32” barrel door @ 60 bar sustained for 4 hours before depressurizing sequentially @ 0 bar.
